Charles Forsstrom Obituary (2021) – Tuckahoe, NJ

Forsstrom, Charles, – 73, longtime resident of Tuckahoe NJ died on Friday October 15, 2021 from Covid-19. Whether you know Charles as Chuck, Charlie, or Pops, you knew how loving, generous, and funny he was. Chuck was a sergeant in the US Marine Corp, serving our country during the Vietnam War and received numerous honors. Chuck has worked in the seafood industry for almost 50 years, owning and operating numerous businesses. In his semi-retirement, he opened a family business, Martys Crabs, in Quinton NJ. Even though Chuck was a self-taught businessman, his family was his first true love. Not only was Chuck an accomplished and respected businessman, he was also extremely generous to those he knew and those he didn’t know. One of her greatest joys in life was buying Christmas gifts for those in need. He was always there if anyone needed a helping hand. Chuck loved a lot of things such as restoring vintage cars, his Harley Davidson collection, traveling in his RV with Patty, watching the Flyers games and just enjoying life with his family. He will be forever missed by his family and friends. Chuck has always “lived the dream” and his legacy will never be forgotten. Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Margaret Jamison. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Patty (Cirigliano) Forsstrom, and his 3 children Chad (Eileen) Forsstrom, Beth Forsstrom and Kelly (Michael) Wyman and his grandchildren Halle, Jason and Zoey. Chuck was particularly close to his youngest granddaughter Zoey. They were inseparable and did just about everything together. He will miss his PopPop and cherish the 7 years they had together. Also survived by his brother, Ronald (Carol) Jamison, and his 2 sisters: Kip (Curt) Jones, Barbara (Richard) Passwater, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe and Sue Cirigliano, and his many nieces and nephews. Also a lot of friends he considered family. Chuck is also survived by his many adored grandchildren. Please join us in celebrating Chuck’s life on Sunday, October 24 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Langley-Loveland Funeral Home in Tuckahoe, NJ. On Monday, October 25, a visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a service at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. The Forsstrom family demands that masks be worn.
