John Bossuyt Obituary (2022) – Clermont, NJ

Bossuyt, John Edward “Jack”, – 79, of Clermont, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of February 26, 2022 surrounded by his family. Jack was born October 29, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Gerard J. and Elsie A. (née Saville) Bossuyt. He lived in Roxborough, Pennsylvania and Avalon, NJ before moving to his Tall Cedars estate in Clermont in 1981. Jack was employed for many years by the Cape May County Bridge Commission from which he retired. He was also a busy entrepreneur with a stone business for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He has attended countless games, recitals and celebrations over the years. He taught them how to fish and crab, “hunt” frogs, raise rabbits, use an ax, and chop down trees. He loved to sit and watch the birds from his porch chair. He was a devoted and much loved father and grandfather who will be dearly missed, but his memory will be cherished forever until we are united again in Heaven. Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Betty L. (née Matthews); her beloved children JEB and Lucky, Vaughn J. (Debra) of Swainton, NJ, Gabrielle L. (Peter) Peragine Jr. of Ocean View, NJ, and Heather J. (Kurt) Williams of Seaville, NJ.; Siblings Gerald J. Bossuyt of Clearwater, FL, Robert M. Bossuyt (Martha) of Pocono Pines, PA, Lorraine M. (Michael) Matalucci of Marmora, NJ, Eileen M. (Pat) Renshaw of Marlton, NJ, Michael F. Bossuyt of Plymouth Meeting, PA and Maryann E. Patterson of Tampa, FL; Cherished grandchildren Erica M. Bossuyt, Evan (Casie) Bossuyt, Ethan Bossuyt, Peter Peragine III, Pierce Peragine, Gianna Peragine, Kaleb Williams, Morgan Williams and Vaeda Williams. His cherished great-grandchildren Evan Bossuyt Jr., Carley Bossuyt, Willow Bossuyt, his brother-in-law Keith (Denise) Matthews of Collegeville, Pennsylvania and the predeceased Emilia Bossuyt. As well as several nieces and nephews. A service of memory and love will be offered Thursday, March 10 at noon from Godfrey’s Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ where friends can call from 11:30 a.m. until time of service .
